NY Times Full Page Ad: Open Letter to Barack Obama on Israel and Palestine
This words appear in a large font size:
Our lives begin to end
the day we become silent
about things that matter.
- Martin Luther King. Jr.
Then it begins like this:
Dear President Obama,
With your historic inauguration as the 44th President of the United States, we share our sincerest congratulations and
hope that you will uphold your commitment to change.
It continues on discussing the one-sided support in the Middle East and highlights these four major points:
- End the longstanding blockade and allow humanitarian aid to reach Gaza.
- Demand that Israel adhere to international law.
- Call for a lasting and enforceable ceasefire respected by all parties.
- Reevaluate the $3 billion of annual U.S. aid to Israel .

Quotes from Barack H. Obama’s Inaugural Speech
He said a lot of things, but here are the two phrases I loved the most:
People will judge you on what you build not what you destroy
We will lend you a hand only if you unclentch your fists.
I hope this year the economy will improve and jobs in America will be on the increase.
Arizona Shocks, Steelers Edge by Ravens
I am shocked that Arizona has made it this far. I am also happy they beat the Eagles (since they beat my Giants!). The Superbowl is not so clear anymore. Arizona could pull off what the Giants did last year against the Patriots. Although the Steelers are not like the Patriots. Then again Arizona doesn’t have the Giants defense of last year. Regardless it’s going to be a good game. I can’t wait to watch it.
I’m rooting for Arizona since they are the underdogs.
Battlestar Galactica: The Final Episodes – Episode 1 Review
Disappointed.
Ellen is the final cylon? What the heck is Starbuck? The first episode was wack. The preview of episode 2 makes it even more boring. Revolution. That was obvious since Earth is a wasteland and now they fleet has no where to go. Unless I am missing something, but these final episodes aren’t looking to good.
NFC/AFC Championships – Before the game thoughts
Ravens – Steelers
I think the Steelers can take this. Although the Ravens have an amazing defense, the Steelers offense is a notch better than the Ravens. I say Steelers 28 – Ravens 23
Eagles – Cardinals
Arizona made it this far? Superbowl-less Eagles will beat the Cardinals, but the will not win against the Steelers in the Superbowl.
Side note: if the Eagles and Ravens face off in the Superbowl, it will be renamed the Ghettobowl.
The only brave Congressmen and Congresswomen to stand up against the US Government’s support of Israel’s war on Gaza
On January 9, 2009 there was a vote for the following bill:
Recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza, reaffirming the United States’ strong support for Israel, and supporting the Israeli-Palestinian peace process
We all know this bill had nothing to do with defending Israel against attacks from Gaza. We all know this is not supporting any peace-process but helping the State of Israel continue to use American taxes to kill the people of Gaza. The following men and women of Congress were the only ‘nay’ voters to the above bill.
- Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio (D) – http://kucinich.house.gov/
- Congresswoman Gwen Moore of Wisconson (D) – http://www.house.gov/gwenmoore/
- Congressman Ron Paul of Texas (R) – http://www.house.gov/paul/
- Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California (D) – http://www.house.gov/waters/
- Congressman Rick Rahall of West Virginia (D) – http://www.rahall.house.gov/
Please contact them and thank them for their ‘nay’ vote.
Here is the full listing of the voting results of the bill.
Giants lose to Eagles in playoffs
The Giants did not play their best. Eli didn’t throw enough completions. We made dumb plays when we went for the fourth downs. In the end McNabb and the Eagles played better and dominated defensively. It’s official. The Eagles are 1 game away to the superbowl.
1,000s of Israelis protest against the war in Gaza
Thank you to all those Israelis against this war!
